Kong's Hands Causing Shipping Delay

I have decided to delay shipping on the Kong Armature kits for just a bit.  Here's why...

A few customers are reporting that the hands they have received were damaged during shipment, so I have no choice but to reengineer them.  I will be separating the fingers from the hands and placing them on numbered sprues.  I considered doing this from the very start, but I was trying to simplify construction while also cutting myself a break as well.  I think this is the best solution since we can't get consistent results, regardless of how we package them.  Now I'm really glad I didn't decide to add Kong's missing toes to the armature. 😉

Our Frankenstein's Lab kit contains some fairly delicate parts as does our Bruce.  It's amazing to me how few issues we have had with parts getting damaged during shipping.  We're talking less than 5 out of hundreds.  Kong's hands are a little baffling to me, given our track record and how well they did in the test above.

In the video, you can see that while the hands are delicate...they aren't that delicate.  You can hear how hard I'm hitting them against the butcherblock table. I think they perform reasonably well. Don't get me wrong, If you drop them on a hard floor - some of the fingers are going to break due to the weight of the palm.  This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone given that this is a resin model kit.  Some of the pics I've seen from customers show hands that look like they were dropped out of a second-story window and then stomped on.

Anyway, we just wanted to let everyone know that we're going to remedy this and get things moving again as quickly as possible.

As always, we we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work out some kinks!
