The Empire State Building is celebrating it's 95th anniversary today, so I thought I'd share a few pics I took in 2018. The ESB has been my favorite building for as long as I can remember. I'm sure that being a Kong fan had absolutely nothing to do with it.

This was my second time going up to the observation deck. The first time was back in 1997. Some of the elevators were down for maintenance at the time and I remember taking Laura by the hand and dragging her up several flights of stairs so we could reach the top. Little did I realize, that she was pregnant with our first. Ooof!

The Chrysler Building is probably my 2nd favorite building in NY. I guess I just have a thing for Art-Deco inspired architecture.
If you ever plan a trip to NY and want to go to the top of the ESB, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time. It can take a few hours (even if you're not scaling the outside). I was hoping to reach the top by dusk, but we just missed it.

Happy anniversary ESB! Still looking good after all these years!
