Our first JAWS kit features Bruce the Mechanical Shark as he appeared during the making of the 1975 classic by Steven Spielberg. This highly-detailed 1:15 scale replica measures 19.5 inches long by 9.5 inches high and consists of 22 parts. You get the head...the tail...the whole damn thing.
The kit is entirely 3D printed, but the parts are very thick - the larger parts have some real weight to them. This feels very much like a cast kit. The complete model weighs approximately 2.5 lbs.
The heavy 2-part base gives Bruce a stable platform in which to be mounted to. The sculpted water is a solid chunk of resin! The two clear acrylic rods (included) are used in conjunction with the crane to form a stable tripod.
Don't worry, it's not as complex as it looks. We did our best to try and simplify the overall design and to minimize the total number of overall pieces. A set of fully illustrated instructions is included with each kit and should make assembly pretty straightforward.
We worked really hard to make this and we think it's the best kit we have ever produced. We sincerely hope that you enjoy building and painting it!

My kit arrived in the UK about 3-4 weeks from point of ordering and a came beautifully packed. The model itself is fantastic and made me grin from ear to ear! The kit is brilliantly resin cast 3D printed i presume, only a little work to be done cleaning prior to priming, airbrushing, brush painting, joint filler where needed (i will use P38 filler for the body joint gaps). So much scope for adding extra detail to the pipework ect. Will need to source a display case at some point.
What can I say! I finished my build and even a posting on YouTube just yesterday...and to say I am happy with this kit is a vast understatement! It is a true work of art, by an amazing artist! David Stann has done something with this kit that no other maker of Bruce sharks has ever managed to do, he has captured so many subtle nuances of his form and shape, and to think he has also crafted the interior mechanics, is beyond my attempts at understanding! I am in true awe! Kudos! Good sir!

Just wanted to send a quick note that I received Bruce last Friday and......holy cow, I love this thing. Truly a fantastic kit and it captures the 'look' of Bruce as well as the details perfectly. I'm torn between building it straight out of the box, or using some of my reference material to further detail the innards.
The quality of the item was exemplary the best I've seen I thought it was quite expensive but after seeing the item and craftsmanship that went into it I can see why but I think now I got a bargain for the price WELL DONE STANNARTS 🙂👍
This is really nicely done. I am a huge fan of this film and all the work they did with Bruce. The only gripe I would have is that the head/ mouth is not quite there. To me it looks too thin. It needs a little more width and grit a bit more of a blank stare. But on the whole this is very well done.

What a fabulously printed model, so clean and trial fit is excellent. It is a good size and the detail is amazing.

What a great piece with fantastic detailing and littler to no cleanup needed perfect. It would be fantastic to see a neca scale version of Bruce to go with hooper And quint. They really need him 😉

What can I say about this miniature? It is a quite brilliant reproduction of a movie icon. I’ve seen other ‘Bruce’ attempts and as a devotee of Jaws, none have achieved the screen accuracy of Stannarts beautifully rendered model.
The quality of the materials is fantastic and the fact that the mechanical details can be enhanced is a real boon for a modeller.
I can see how much time and effort has gone into recreating the ‘sense’ of Bruce - that’s something only an artist can capture.
Such a perfect recreation of the mechanical shark in Jaws as we know as "Bruce". I loved creating mine from start to finish. After I received the raw materials I meticulously built it, primed it and painted it along with a few customizations. Its a magnificent mantle/desk piece measuring in at close to 20 INCHES! If your a fan like me, save some money and buy yourself this beauty, you deserve it!
I have just received my copy of Bruce the Mechanical Shark, what an absolute work of art, the details are beautifully crisp,and at 19 inches long it's a perfect size to I can personally highly recommend this kit from StannArts to any Jaws fan and to anyone looking for high quality collectable model.
