The 1/2 scale Tusken Raider bust is a highly detailed,  3D printed model kit consisting of 17 separate parts.

My primary focus with this project was to try and capture the likeness of the Tusken Raider played by Peter Diamond in the original Star Wars.  He was the one that attacked Luke and was featured in most of the movie stills.  He had a distinctive look/head shape that I always liked and wanted to capture in my sculpt.  There have been several Raiders featured throughout the many films and spinoffs, but they never looked quite "right" to me.

I think this is going to be really fun to paint.  There are just so many materials and textures packed in there.  Several layers of washes and some dry-brushing will really bring out those details and should make this a stunning piece for your collection.

I don't think you necessarily even have to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy this one.

We don't just produce kits here at Pestilence Labs, we collect them as well.   The latest to arrive is the Tusken Raider from StannArts !! Let me tell you, this kit is a beauty!!  This kit is extremely well designed and executed.  The   3D printed parts are gorgeous!! So well designed!!  David's sculpting is on point.  The kit arrived expertly packed, with a lovely note from Laura!  There is a very detailed instructions manuel that comes with the kit.  The base is super sturdy and exceptionally designed.  Please if you are on the fence about this kit it is a must have!!

    TUSKEN RAIDER!

Received my StannArts Tusken Raider model kit today. To say I'm blown away is an understatement. I've been in the kit industry for many years, mainly sculpting and producing kits AT Banshee Studios UK but I also collect kits... this is hands down the best 3d printed kit I have ever held in my hands. It oozes quality. Keep doing what you're doing StannArts, David, your work is phenomenal and your prints are top quality 😊

Thanks so much for the amazing feedback, Russell - very much appreciated! I hope you'll send us pics once you find time to paint him. BTW: I always stop to admire your Trog kit whenever I go into Laura's office. It's such a great piece! Keep on sculpting!

Beautiful cast parts, as always, and great sculpted detail. Very little cleanup needed - just a few support nubs and faint printing lines here and there, overall a too job. Excellent fit, except the protuberances in the head but that will be an easy fix. The size is impressive, the final assembly has a lot of presence!

Thank you so much for the feedback, Robin! As far as the protuberances go - they are tight, but they should fit. I find that if you press down firmly and give it a slight twist - they should fit rather nicely. I didn't want a big gap here that would require a lot of putty. Hopefully, it'll work for you. I'll have to add a blurb to the instructions re this.
