Tusken Raider Bust (Prepainted)

We're now offering a painted version of our 1/2-scale Tusken Raider bust.  This is such a great scale.  It doesn't take up nearly as much room as a full-sized bust and yet it still shows off all of the texture and details contained in the sculpt.    

He is approximately 12.5 inches tall by 7 inches wide.

My primary focus with this project was to try and capture the likeness of the Tusken Raider played by Peter Diamond in the original 1977 Star Wars.  This was the Tusken Raider shown in most of the action scenes as well as featured in the publicity stills.  He had a distinctive look/head shape that I always liked and wanted to capture in my sculpt.  I think it's nearly impossible to capture this look with a mask or bust using real fabrics etc.   

Each bust is hand-painted using high-quality acrylics and sealed with a durable UV-resistant coating to protect the colors from fading over time.

Since I am still too busy painting Bruce kits, Laura is doing the paint work on these.  The painted Tusken Raider, shown in the photos, was completed recently for a customer.
