Bruce Add-On Pack Update

I just finished Hooper’s aqualung which is part of the Add-On Pack. The set includes the Aqualung, Quint's 3 Barrels, and 2 harpoons.

Here are a few of the promos I threw together for each item:

I probably spent more time on Hooper's aqualung then I should have, but I wanted to get it as screen-accurate as possible. I'm pretty happy with the end result. I sure hope our new Bruce enjoys chomping on all those details. A word of caution...you screw around with this tank and it's gonna blow up! Okay...that's not really gonna happen.

Quint's barrels have become so iconic over the years that no Jaws model would be truly complete without them. I guess you could even say that they're quint-essential.

I'm including the rope on our barrels, because while it might be cool to add real twine - it's really tough to get the scale correct and the placement just so. If you don't get it right then it just becomes a focal point and an unwanted distraction. Just my opinion.

I did make at least one correction to the hand holds on the top of the barrel since the promo was posted. The ones shown above are angled out a bit too much and they should be more boxy like the ones below.

Revised Barrel Holds

Quint's harpoons are fairly accurate at this point, but I simplified the latch connector where the line attaches to the harpoons and now it's bugging me. It's a fairly complex connector and I'm not sure it's worth taking the extra time to model it - especially at this scale. We'll see if I have time - I may go back and create a new one for the sake of accuracy. Yeah right....You know I'm gonna fix it...who am I kidding? ARGH!
